Return & Exchange Policy

We stand behind the quality of our products and services. This policy explains eligibility, time windows, return methods, fees, and region-specific rules for returns and exchanges on skunkworks.africa.

Most physical products are returnable within 30 days of delivery in original condition and packaging. Software, digital licenses, and downloadable content have stricter rules; read the Non-returnable & Limited-return items section carefully.

Eligibility

  • Item must be in the same condition as received, unused, with all accessories, manuals, and original packaging.
  • Provide proof of purchase (order number or receipt).
  • For defects or incorrect items, contact us within 7 days of delivery and include clear photos/videos.

Return Window

  • Standard window: 30 days from delivery for most physical goods.
  • Defective items: notify within 7 days; we’ll repair, replace, or refund as required by applicable law.
  • Exchanges: permitted within the same window where stock allows.

Methods & Fees

  1. Start a request: Email returns@skunkworks.africa with your order #, reason, and photos if defective/damaged.
  2. Approval & RMA: We’ll issue a return authorization and instructions for courier drop-off or collection.
  3. Shipping: For remorse/fit issues, customer pays return shipping. For defects or our error, we cover shipping.
  4. Refunds: Processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of inspection. Store credit available on request.

Note: Bank processing times vary. Exchanges ship after we receive and verify the original item.


Non-returnable & Limited-return Items

Exchanges

We accept exchanges for different sizes/variants where stock allows. If unavailable, we’ll offer alternatives or a refund per the method below.

When we cover costs

  • Defective product within 7 days of delivery.
  • Incorrect item shipped vs. order.
  • Damage in transit reported on arrival with evidence.

When you cover costs

  • Change of mind, fit, or preference.
  • Missed delivery or refusal causing return to sender.

Country & Region-Specific Rules

We apply local consumer laws and cooling-off rights where applicable. Below is a quick guide for commonly served regions. If your country is not listed, our standard policy applies alongside any mandatory local rights.

South Africa (ZA)
  • Consumer Protection Act (CPA) applies. Defective goods may be repaired, replaced, or refunded within 6 months of delivery (wear-and-tear excluded).
  • Unwanted goods (change of mind) generally follow our standard 30-day window if unopened/unused.
European Union / EEA (AT, BE, CH*, CZ, DE, DK, ES, FI, FR, IE, IT, NL, NO, PL, PT, SE)
  • Consumers typically have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance sales (exclusions: sealed software once unsealed, digital content after download with consent).
  • Return shipping for remorse may be customer’s responsibility unless stated otherwise; defects are covered by us.

*CH (Switzerland) follows Swiss rules; no EU right of withdrawal, but our standard 30-day policy applies plus statutory defect rights.

United Kingdom (GB)
  • Consumer Contracts Regulations provide a 14-day cooling-off period for most distance purchases with similar exclusions for digital content and sealed software.
United States & Canada (US, CA)
  • Our standard 30-day return applies unless local state/provincial law grants additional rights.
  • Defective/incorrect items: we provide prepaid labels.
Australia & New Zealand (AU, NZ)
  • Statutory guarantees apply for goods that are faulty or not as described. Remedies include repair, replacement, or refund depending on the issue.
Rest of Africa & International (AE, CM, IL, JP, MY, SG, HK, IE, IT, ES, PT, NL, NO, SE, DK, FI, AT, BE, CZ, DE, FR, PL, PT, NZ, ZW)
  • Standard 30-day return window applies plus any applicable mandatory local consumer protections.

FAQ

How do I start a return?

Email returns@skunkworks.africa with your order number, reason, and photos (if defective). We’ll respond with an RMA and courier instructions.

How long do refunds take?

We aim to process within 5–10 business days after the returned item passes inspection. Your bank may take additional time to post funds.

Can I return software or license keys?

Not after delivery or exposure of the key. If a key sent by us is invalid or cannot be activated due to our error, we will replace or refund.

Do you charge restocking fees?

No restocking fees for standard returns in original condition.
